With the recent passage of the Second Chance Act, John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Urban Institute are sponsoring a forum on the often-overlooked issue of reentry from local jails. The event is co-hosted by Rep. Danny Davis and Sen. Sam Brownback. With an estimated 12 million releases from jails each year, reentry has an enormous impact on communities around the country.
