The Future We Deserve: How Philanthropy Can Support Our Next, Most Diverse Generation
Body

Watch the Keynote Address from Rev. Starsky Wilson

We invite you to join us for a virtual roundtable featuring critical, evidence-based conversations and dialogue among philanthropic leaders about key issues facing America’s increasingly diverse young people.

The Urban Institute is launching a new research program called the American Transformation Project. Drawing on new and existing Urban research, this project centers racial and ethnic demographic changes and examines related disparities to identify transformative strategies and investments that will lead to a more equitable future for the next generation of Americans, Generation Z. We believe this generation can lead the nation toward a future where a person’s race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status do not determine one’s life outcomes.

This virtual convening will gather foundation leaders to explore how to strengthen philanthropy’s engagement with historically marginalized communities and better represent the field’s diverse capacities through investments, collaboration, and advocacy. We will pay particular attention to how philanthropy can power public and private support for an equitable, just future for America’s young people.
