Supporting Georgia’s Early Care and Learning System with COVID-19 Relief Funding
Body

Please join us for a webinar to hear what the Urban Institute has learned about early care and learning needs in Georgia and updates on how the state is using Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) and American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding to support its early care and learning system. In 2021, the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) contracted with the Urban Institute to conduct a statewide stakeholder engagement project that would provide DECAL with information to help allocate CRRSA and ARP funds. In this webinar, we will share key findings on family and early educator perspectives on their needs and possible solutions. DECAL representatives will share how they have been working to meet those needs and provide information on future projects funded through CRRSA and ARP funds.

This webinar is ideal for state leaders considering how they can systematically learn from their stakeholders and use data and research to allocate their CRRSA and ARP funding. The webinar is also geared toward members of Georgia’s early care and learning community, including child care providers, interested in learning more about potential funding opportunities. Finally, researchers and other policymakers will find the information presented pertinent to their work.
